Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life and Left 4 Dead), confirmed earlier the speculation around a Portal 2 DLC pack to hit stores this summer. Typically, Valve don’t like to excited, they like to make us really excited. So, here’s the big news: Its totally free across all platforms.
A press release, sent out earlier today, states that the DLC will contain “new test chambers for players, leaderboards, challenge mode for single and multiplayer modes” and finished off with an even more exciting “and more”, which really couldn’t put us any closer to the edge of our seats.
Previously Valve has produced free DLC over Steam, yet Microsoft customers had to pay 560msp. Valve obviously reminded Microsoft that Sony will be getting the DLC for free and cleverly twisted their arm. A clever piece of marketing from the ever popular Valve.
