Reuters, an American publication, reports that Nintendo have been attacked by the criminal group Lulzsec. But have not been able to get their hands on any consumer information. “The server contained no consumer information. The protection of our customer information is our utmost priority,” Nintendo of America, said in an e-mailed statement.
After many hacking incidents, companies are becoming increasingly wary, although don’t seem to be protecting themselves across the board. Sony, for example, has had the biggest infiltration – 77million people had their details potentially exposed. They fixed the problem, then earlier this month we here that another Sony department – Sony Pictures Entertainment – has had a similar attack.
With Nintendo bringing a new console to the front and more details to be expected over E3, is it time to worry if you are Sony and Microsoft?
