Nintendo 3DS Price Slash Confirmed

Nintendo, in response to their unhealthy uptake with the 3DS, will be dropping the prices by around a third as part of a global trade price reduction initiative. Read on to find out more.

“The ultimate price to consumers is, of course, determined by retailers, however we look forward to consumers benefiting from much lower retail prices very soon,” Commented Nintendo.

Nintendo’s official 3DS price at the moment is £219, a third of the price would take it down to around £150. A whole different price bracket; maybe even enough to secure precious sales. What of those, seemingly, few of you that bought at the original retail price? Well they haven’t forgotten you.

Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme, a programme that will ensure the early adopters get  to download 10 NES games and 10 Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games for free. Quite a deal.

To register for the Ambassador Programme, early Nintendo 3DS adopters simply need to connect to the Nintendo eShop before August 12. The free software will then be made available at a later stage.
