Gran Turismo 5 will be updated almost a year after its release with Spec 2.0, series creator and Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed over the social networking site, Twitter.
It’s very clear and precise message from Mr Yamauchi, update at the end of October followed by DLC in the early days of November.
However, it’s not known what the Spec 2.0 update and DLC will offer, but if Gran Turismo 5 Prologue’s Spec update is anything to go by, fans are in for something quite special. GT5P Spec 2.0 added 34 cars, the High Speed Ring racetrack, two new modes and a host of new features and events. All of that for free.
Personally, I would like to see a new menu system and online leaderboards, with those two introduced around the same time as GT5’s rival, Forza 4, is released – it could make a difference to who stays and who swaps to the 360’s comprehensive racer.
