Apple must publish ads informing people that Samsung didn’t copy its iPad designs

Apple has been ordered by a judge to publish a notice on its UK website and in newspapers and magazines to inform readers that Samsung did not copy designs for the iPad.

On July 9 a court ruled that Samsung’s Galaxy tablets don’t infringe of Apple’s registered designs.

After the judge stated that the Samsung’s tablet was “not as cool” as the iPad, Apple will be forced to post numerous advertisements and notices explaining that Samsung didn’t infringe copyright material.

The notice should appear on Apple’s UK homepage for six months and will also be published – at Apple’s expense – in the Financial Times, the Daily Mail, Guardian Mobile magazine, and T3, according to a draft copy of the court order provided.
