Unfortunately it’s come to the point where Sony cant give free service any more. But hey, you still get a free game each month for you to play. That’s something, right? Oh, and yes, the console is cheaper than the Xbox One, and it’s out this holiday season.
Sony has announced that online play on PS4 will require a PlayStation Plus membership, which can be carried forward from PS3 and will keep the same costing. Sony’s promising one free PS4 title every month, with Don’t Starve, Outlast and Secret Ponchos all coming to PS Plus on PS4. Presumably you’ll still be able to play your PS3 PlayStation plus games on your PS4.
As a bonus, Driveclub PS Plus Edition will be handed out to day one PlayStation plus members.
PS4 is due to go on sale later this year in Europe and the US, priced £349 and $399 respectively. Compared to the Xbox One’s mammoth £429 and $499 price tag.
